The Brewer, on the Keurig Platinum B70 may take 15 seconds to reheat water between brews during which time the red light next to ‘HEATING’ on the LED Control Center may be illuminated. Final Note:

There has been a little problem that has been coming up on this site about the Keurig Coffee Makers ( and by the way, it is not exclusive to Keurig.  it happens to all coffee makers.) for a little while now and I would like to address it.

The problem has been water flow decreasing over time.  When you ask for 9.25 ounces of coffee and you only get half of it.  this is from mineral and coffee build up over a period of time.

Quick fix:  In the k Cup holder area you have on 4 ports fluid going in and fluid coming out.  take a small paper clip and poke the holes and clear out the junk that is restricting the flow.  you might have to take the holder apart but it is easy and the hold task should only take you fifteen minutes.  After you are done you should get years of enjoyment from your Keurig.  Take the old one know and move it to the office or up to camp and get your new Keurig Platinum B70 home brewing system for the home!

  1. My experience is that these machines only last a short time and then have to be replaced.
I bought a B70 as a house warming gift for my daughter 2 years ago. It died and she is now back to a french press – more reliable.
I bought my B70 a few months before we bought hers and mine is now slowly crapping out. Instead of providing 9.25 ounces of brew, it now delivers only about 4 and 1/2 ounces. I plan to try to use up my current supply of cups and then also go back to the reliable french press…… too bad it was a good idea, just badly executed.

Tom did repost a comment on, with a solution to this problem and was kind enough to share the tips to fix this and he had great comments on the Keurig Customer Service representative that walked him through the repair. take a look. I also posted the quick fix on the bottom of this post.
